Layering is a method of plant reproduction by cloning. It involves the division and branching out of a mother plant’s branches without detaching them from that  mother plant. The plant resulting from this procedure is identical to the mother plant. There are  several layering techniques, of which the principal ones are

  • Ground layering              
  • Air layering
