Learning objectives

  • Address notions of classification, species and evolution.
  • Define the term fossil.
  • Discover one of the great stages in the history of the Earth.

Tyrannosaurus is one of the largest land carnivores of all time. This species of dinosaur lived during the Late Cretaceous period, between 68 and 65 million years ago.
Today, paleontologists can study the characteristics of these extinct animals through the reconstruction of fossil skeletons found in ancient rocks.
After the reconstruction of the skeleton of the Tyrannosaurus, this animation allows you to observe artist's views of living dinosaurs in their natural habitat, based on scientific discoveries.
The identity card gives information on the size, lifestyle, the time when the Tyrannosaurus lived, places of fossil discovery and classification of this species.

Reconstruct the skeleton to discover the living dinosaur.
