Inspiration - Expiration

Learning objectives

  • To show airways in the human body.
  • To illustrate repiratory movements.

Respiration is composed of two phases:

  • Inspiration (air into the lungs)
  • Expiration (air out of the lungs)

Respiration can be done by the nose or the mouth.  In both cases, air reaches the trachea and passes through to the lungs.
