Learning objectives
- To observe and produce regularities with patterns.
Two artistic paintings are presented here to explore the art of paving. The suggested activities allow for a step-by-step analysis that results in an accurate representation of paving.
Observe and recognize the patterns in the paving.
- Understand how the paving is built. Identify patterns and match them.
- Build the paving by recognizing the geometric transformation and applying it to the reference pattern.
- Select a board by clicking the arrows. Click the board button to view the complete paving.
There are three ways to reproduce a board:
- Coloring: Select a paint pot. Click on the shape to color it.
- Placing: Select and place a shape from the suggested options.
- Build: Place and transform the reference shape.
